The Brocks’ Annual Christmas Party 2024 🎄 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us this year!! We are so grateful to have such a special community of people around us. We love you guys! ♥️

- He has 8 teeth 😁

- He was in the 7th percentile when he was born but quickly jumped throughout the months and has maintained in the 90th+ percentile 💪

- His favorite meal is literally anything. He loves food but he thrives after a good steak & mash potatoes 🤤

- His favorite toy is his basketball. He will pass and dribble all day 🏀

- He absolutely loves the water. We never want to pull him out because of how much fun he has. He’s our water bug 🌊

- No walking yet, but he crawls at lightning speed ⚡️

- He is the happiest baby in the world. He loves his life and everyone around him so deeply. His eyes say it all 🥹

We got back to Charleston the Monday after my shower. Tuesday, I went nuts shopping for necessities around town and on Amazon.

Wednesday morning, I woke up in labor nearly 5 weeks early and on Thursday morning October 26, 2023 Elliott was born 🩵

We came home from the hospital that weekend with our perfect newborn and walked into a literal mountain of gifts, target bags, and amazon packages in our living room 😅 Clay got to work unboxing and organizing while I sat with Elliott. We were so focused on getting settled in with our son.

Going into Elliott’s birthday week, I want to highlight this special day last year and properly thank @emily_lord, Jessica, and @hayleastyles for throwing such a wonderful shower last year 🩵

That said, this is your sign not to wait until you are 35 weeks pregnant to have your shower 🤣 Trying to nest with a newborn is not the move 😂

McLeod Plantation Historical Site, James Island - Elliott and I recently had the pleasure of coming out to the McLeod Plantation to explore. There is so much we can learn from visiting these plantations. They offer guided tours throughout the day or you can opt for a self guided tour with a brochure.

Located on James Island, this historical site is only 8.5 Miles from Folly Beach and 5 miles to Downtown Charleston!

There is so much we can learn from visiting these plantations. They offer guided tours throughout the day or you can opt for a self guided tour with a brochure.

Located on James Island, this historical site is only 8.5 Miles from Folly Beach and 5 miles to Downtown Charleston!

Blowing Rock, NC ⛰️ - one of my favorite places to get away. This charming town is known for amazing food, beautiful shops and antique stores, and unreal views. This part of the Blue Ridge Mountains holds a special place in my heart. If you get the chance to get away for the weekend, you won’t regret making this your destination.

Located right over the Tennessee border into North Carolina, this is within a couple hours of the Lakeway area in Tennessee, and about 5 hours from Charleston 😊

Blowing Rock, NC ⛰️ - one of my favorite places to get away. This charming town is known for amazing food, beautiful shops and antique stores, and unreal views. If we’re being honest, I’ve been so behind with Elliott’s nursery —>

E was born almost 5 weeks early. We moved to Charleston 2 months prior and while we were pretty settled in, I didn’t have his room ready. We had painted it a deep blue but immediately after, I decided it wasn’t the right color and wanted to switch directions entirely 😅 Then E was born.

As much as I wanted to finish his nursery, I just couldn’t get to it. If we’re really honest, I don’t think I truly grasped how hard I was hit with pp until a couple months ago (we’re on the up) I’ve felt guilty for not getting to it sooner but for a while, it was all I could do to spend time with Elliott and slowly figure out how to find my new normal.

Elliott’s been in our room which I have absolutely loved but I’ve known for a while it’s time for him to have a space to call his own.

A couple weeks ago I finally repainted his room and begun filling it with his things. I have a couple more things to add before his room is complete but I am so happy E has his nursery. We’ve spent so much time in here over the last couple of weeks and he loves it 🩵

This is your sign that it’s okay to not have it all together sometimes. Elliott has everything he needs and as each month passes by, I am feeling more like myself. Coming from a recovering perfectionist, this is a huge win 🥹
